Fire Safety Mock Drill Conducted at Narayan Shree Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Bhopal

Narayan Shree Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Bhopal conducted a Fire Safety Mock Drill on 20 November 2025 to strengthen emergency response preparedness among students, faculty, hospital staff, and supporting teams. The drill was organized under the guidance of the Hospital Administration and the Fire & Safety Department.

The session began with an orientation by the Fire Safety Officer, who explained the types of fire, emergency codes, steps of evacuation, and proper use of fire extinguishers in a healthcare environment. Participants were trained on handling fire emergencies without panic and ensuring safe patient evacuation.

A controlled fire scenario was created to demonstrate the activation of the fire alarm system, use of fire extinguishers (CO₂, Water, Foam), and functioning of hydrants. Students, nursing staff, doctors, and hospital personnel actively took part by following evacuation protocols, assembling at the safe zone, and simulating patient transfer during emergencies.

The Principal of Narayan Shree Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital appreciated the Fire & Safety Team for conducting this practical training session. He emphasized that such drills help build confidence, awareness, and preparedness to handle real-life emergencies effectively.

The session concluded with a question–answer discussion, where participants clarified their doubts regarding fire safety procedures, emergency numbers, and institutional safety norms. The college plans to conduct such safety drills periodically to ensure a safe and secure hospital environment for all.
